INTROPAPA’s EN -MAMA’S GEZOCHT *** WANTED: INTRODUCTION PARENTS

Nu de introductieweek er weer aankomt, is de IntroducCie hard op zoek naar leden die de nieuwe eerstejaars willen gaan begeleiden tijdens de VU Introductiedagen (19 t/m 21 aug + 24 t/m 25 aug)! Lijkt dit je nou wel wat? Lees dan vooral even verder!

Als intro-ouder begeleid je een groep van nieuwe studenten tijdens de VU Introductiedagen. Je laat ze de campus zien, neemt ze mee naar allemaal leuke activiteiten en je geeft ze een fantastische start van hun studie op sociaal vlak! Zo staan er elk jaar genoeg feestjes op het programma en is er vaak een uitstapje naar Artis. Naast dat je je zomervakantie knallend kan afsluiten, mag je als mentor ook nog een keertje mee op het Introductieweekend!

Natuurlijk brengt het zijn van een intro-ouder ook een aantal verantwoordelijkheden met zich mee. Zo dien je er voor te zorgen dat iedereen uit je groepje het zo veel mogelijk naar zijn zin heeft en is het fijn als je kindjes veilig blijven en bijvoorbeeld niet verdwalen in de grote stad. Dit doe je wel samen met een andere intropapa of -mama, dus je staat er gelukkig niet helemaal alleen voor!

Zoals eerder vermeld zullen de Introductiedagen dit jaar dus woensdag 19 tot en met vrijdag 21 augustus en maandag 24 tot en met dinsdag 25 dagen zijn. Hiervoor zijn we op zoek naar mentoren die MNW-studenten willen begeleiden tijdens alle 5 de dagen, maar ook naar mentoren die enkel 2 dagen willen begeleiden. Nieuwe studenten hebben namelijk de keus of ze alle 5 dagen mee willen doen of enkel de laatste 2 dagen. Tijdens de laatste 2 dagen zijn er overdag vooral studiegerelateerde activiteiten, maar in de avond is er nog genoeg tijd voor gezelligheid!

Daarnaast zijn we op zoek naar mentoren die ME-studenten tijdens de eerste 3 dagen (19 t/m 21 aug) willen begeleiden. Na het weekend zullen de ME-studenten namelijk naar Twente gaan om ook daar een aantal introductiedagen bij te wonen. Een mogelijkheid is dus ook om de eerste drie dagen mentor te worden van ME-studenten en de laatste 2 dagen van MNW-studenten!

The Introduction committee is searching for students who want to be a mentor during the VU Introductiondays (August 19-21 + August 24-25) since the VU Introductiondays are approaching again. Interested? Please keep on reading!

As introduction parent you will guide a group of new students through the VU Introductiondays. You will show them the VU campus, you will take them to a lot of fun activities and you will give the new students a fantastic start of their studies! Each year, there are a lot of parties planned for you and your group of students and you can expect day activities like Artis. Besides the fact that you can have a fantastic end of your holiday, you will have the opportunity to join us on the Introductionweekend once again!

Of course, being a mentor brings some responsibility. You will have to make sure everyone has a great time and that all the kids stay safe and do not for example get lost in the big city of Amsterdam. However, you will do this with your partner so there is no reason to be afraid this will happen to one of your group!

As mentioned earlier, the VU Introductiondays will be held from Wednesday 19^th of August till Friday 21th of August and from Monday 24^th of August till Tuesday 25^th of August. For these days, we are looking for mentors for all five days for MNW-students and for mentors for only the last two days, since students have the choice to join us on all five days or on only the last two days. The last two days, the daily activities will mostly consist of study related activities, but in the evenings there is enough time for cosiness!

Besides mentors for MNW-students, we are looking for introduction parents for ME-students during the first three days (August 19-21). To know, the ME-students will go to the University of Twente after the first three days. Hereby, it is also a possibility to be an ME-mentor on the first three days and an MNW-mentor during the last two days!
